This Privacy Policy explains how TalkyTools (BhutanGlory) ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use BhutanGlory (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

1. What we collect

• Inquiry data: when you submit "Get 3 quotes" or a provider-specific inquiry — your name, email, country, group size, travel dates, budget, interests, and the message you write.
• Newsletter sign-ups: just your email and the page you signed up from.
• Provider submissions: when a Bhutan business applies via /list-your-business — name, license number, contact details, business description.
• Standard server data: IP address, browser, pages visited (used for rate-limiting + aggregated analytics).

2. How we use it

• To forward your inquiry to up to 3 verified Bhutan operators who can quote your trip.
• To send you a confirmation email and (if you opt in) a monthly newsletter with Bhutan travel tips.
• To verify provider submissions against the Bhutan Department of Tourism registry.
• For aggregated analytics (no personal identification) and to prevent spam and abuse.

3. Sharing

We do not sell your data. When you submit an inquiry, the providers you're matched with receive your name, email and trip details so they can reply directly to you. That's the entire point — we're a directory, not a middleman that holds your data hostage.

We do not share your data with any other third parties except:

• Service providers (hosting on AWS, transactional email via Resend) under contractual data-protection terms.
• Authorities when legally required.

4. Payments

BhutanGlory does not process any payments. We do not collect or store payment information. Travelers pay providers directly.

5. Data retention

Inquiries are retained for 24 months so we can audit provider response times and resolve disputes. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Provider records are retained while the listing is live.

6. Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion, or export of your data by emailing hello@bhutanglory.com. We respond within 14 days.

7. Security

We use HTTPS everywhere, encrypted databases, hashed admin passwords (bcrypt), rate-limiting on form endpoints, and honeypot fields against bots. No system is 100% secure — please use strong passwords and never share credentials.

8. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies for admin sessions and to remember your currency preference. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. See our cookie banner.

9. International transfers

BhutanGlory is operated from India and serves an international audience. Your data may be processed in India and the country hosting our cloud provider (AWS Mumbai region).

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on this page and (if you've subscribed) by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
