Refund & Booking Policy

Last updated: 26 April 2026

1. We don't take your money

BhutanGlory is a free directory + inquiry service. We do not process payments, take deposits, hold trip balances, or charge any booking fees. When you submit an inquiry, your matched providers contact you directly to quote, invoice and collect any payment.

2. Refunds for trips

Because we never received your money, we cannot refund it. Refund requests for any deposit, balance, or fee paid to a provider must be made directly to that provider under their own cancellation terms (most reputable Bhutan operators publish a tiered cancellation schedule based on how close to the travel date you cancel).

3. If a provider refuses a legitimate refund

We take operator misconduct seriously. If you've paid a deposit to a provider you found via BhutanGlory and they're unresponsive or refusing a clearly legitimate refund:

  1. Email us at hello@bhutanglory.com with the operator name, trip dates, payment evidence and the communication history.
  2. We will contact the operator on your behalf and, if needed, escalate to Bhutan's Department of Tourism (which licenses every operator on our directory).
  3. Repeated complaints will result in the operator being delisted and their trust score downgraded.

4. Newsletter subscriptions

Newsletter subscriptions are free and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email.

5. Provider listings

Provider listings on BhutanGlory are currently free. There are no fees to refund.

6. Sustainable Development Fee (SDF)

The Bhutan SDF is paid directly by you to the Government of Bhutan via immi.gov.bt. SDF refund requests must be made directly to the Bhutan Government — BhutanGlory has no role in collecting or refunding it.
