Semi-milled short-grain rice with a nutty, earthy flavour — a Bhutanese staple.
About
Bhutanese red rice (often labelled "Ezay" or "Paro Red Rice") is grown in the terraced fields of the Paro Valley at 2,400m altitude. The red bran is retained during milling, giving it more fibre and minerals than white rice.
