About
Cordyceps sinensis ("Yartsa Goenbub" in Dzongkha) grows above 3,500m in the Bhutanese Himalaya. Legal harvesting is restricted to permit-holding high-altitude communities in Laya, Lingzhi and Lunana.
Used in Tibetan medicine for energy, immunity and respiratory health. Price varies wildly by grade — expect USD $80–$400 per 10 grams. Ask for certificate-of-origin from the Department of Forests.
