Druk Odyssey Tours
Family-run tour operator specialising in small-group cultural itineraries since 2009.
About
Druk Odyssey is a family-run, Department of Tourism-licensed operator based in Thimphu with 15 years of experience. We design slow-travel itineraries focused on cultural immersion — staying in villages, joining local festivals, and hiking at a human pace. Our lead guide, Ugyen Dorji, has a Bachelor's in Bhutanese History and is a certified mountain guide. We cap groups at 8 and never sub-contract — every traveler is handled by our own team from airport pickup to departure.

Ugyen was an exceptional guide. We spent 9 nights with Druk Odyssey and never felt rushed. Loved the homestay night in Phobjikha.

Booked last minute after another agency ghosted us. Druk Odyssey responded in 4 hours with a detailed plan and stuck to every promise.

Great itinerary but the hotel in Punakha was a bit dated. Everything else was 10/10 — especially the Tiger's Nest hike.

Second trip with Druk Odyssey, took my parents this time. They handled the slower pace without issue. Airport transfer was seamless.

Detailed pre-trip WhatsApp briefings were fantastic. Knew exactly what to expect. Small group of 6 felt private without being isolated.

Good value for money, transparent pricing with SDF clearly separate. Would have liked more free time in Thimphu.

Booked through their website after comparing on BhutanGlory. Ugyen met us at Paro airport personally. Amazing family festival visit.

Solid 4 nights. Food was heavier on Indian side — not a bad thing but if you want purely Bhutanese ema datshi every meal, mention it upfront.
